- Day shift situations- start and end times will vary
- Average: 48-50hrs/wk
- This is a full-time position based out of the corporate terminal covering drivers from different customers who might be off due to vacations, illness, injury, etc.
- Floaters are cross-trained on all of our local accounts. Floaters are the back bone of our fleet and work closely with operations to ensure our customer's needs are met
- Equipment that ITDS floaters must be able to operate: Day cabs (both manual and automatic transmission). Yard trucks with and without hydraulic fifth wheels
- Trailers: reefer, dry van, containers. Straight trucks
- Floaters could on occasion be asked to cover for drivers in Indianapolis, Louisville or Columbus. Normally they would use their assigned tractor to drive to location of need.
- Overnight stays are seldom and only on a prior approved and arranged basis.

Minimum Qualifications:
1 year of verifiable CDL-A tractor trailer driving experience
No more than 1 serious traffic violation within the last 5 years
No preventable collisions within the last 5 years involving: rear-end; rollover; work/construction zone related/occurrence
No more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years; no more than 2 moving violations within the last 12 months
